The Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame welcomes its inaugural 12 inductees.

Being inducted in 2010 are:

Jackie Callura - boxing (athlete)

Bill Friday - hockey (official)

Harry Howell - hockey (athlete)

Russ Jackson - football (athlete)

Mel Laforme - rowing (athlete)

Ray Lewis - track (athlete)

Joanne Malar - swimming (athlete)

Claude Saunders - rowing (athlete/builder)

Billy Sherring - track (athlete)

Jimmy Thompson - swimming (coach)

1967 Hamilton Tiger-Cats - football (team)

The inductees will be honoured in a pregame ceremony at the Hamilton Bulldogs game with the Toronto Marlies on Thursday, April 1 at 7:30 pm.

The formal Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame inaugural induction dinner will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Carmens.
