Longevity and Hall of Fame achievements describe Dave, who played in the NHL for 23 years with Buffalo, Toronto, New Jersey, Boston, Colorado and Tampa Bay. He captained the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Lightning and became the oldest player to make his debut in a Stanley Cup final at 40 years, seven months. He scored 640 goals and collected 1338 points in 1639 games and is the all-time leader in power play goals with 274. Dave played in two All-Star games in 1990 and 1994 and was inducted into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame in 2008. The Mountain Arena and Skating Centre bears his name.
